What is in Oregon City? I wondered the same thing when we considered building a home here. When I searched online, I found very, very little. Having been so digital centric for so long, I assumed there wasn’t much here! WRONG! There just aren’t many businesses who have spent any time building websites or making them rank on Google. Oregon City is a gem of a town where neighborhoods, farmland and restaurants coexist.
For your sake and mine, I am compiling a list of “wonderfulness” in Oregon City and I built a whole website around it at OregonCityGuide.com. You may have seen a graphic similar to this at the Oregon City Safeway in the basket of your shopping cart! I paid for an ad there to help spread the word about this “all-positive” website with high-fives and good vibes to local businesses and entrepreneurs.
Grano Bakery is new and OregonLive.com proclaims that “it’s our favorite new bakery”…and it happens to be in Oregon City!
Rare plant research rents Villa Catalana Gardens in the summer in Oregon City. It is only open one weekend per year and one Saturday in June for the sale of plants. They have thousands of rare and usual plants that you can purchase and the grounds are STUNNING! Make a day of it because they usually feature wine that you can buy by the glass and stroll around with. Kings Raven Winery was the host of Dinners in the Field bringing field to table.
The growth surge with the upcoming Willamette Falls Legacy Project is going to be massive. The Oregon Legislature has made a $7.5 million investment in it. They break ground this coming year in 2018.

If you are a horse lover, you’ll be interested to know that Oregon City is the home of a state-of-the-art equine facility and Oregon City High School has an Equestrian Club. Equus Veterinary Service is one of the premier equine facilities in the entire state.
The Oregon City Farmers Market was just voted third favorite in the entire greater Portland area.
Main street has been revitalized and is quite a treasure of restaurants and antique shops with shopping. BONUS: Parking in downtown Oregon City is FREE on the weekends!
